The hotel was newly built and opened in the Millennium and is situated on the banks of the river Ouse. The recently refurbished hotel is right at the heart of the vibrant City of York.
The station and all the many tourist attractions are only a few minutes walk. The Queens Hotel York England is one of the most central hotels in York, with quality hotel accommodation at affordable prices.

All children are welcome. All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults stay free of charge for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Superior rooms with a river view are available on request, subject to availability (at an additional cost). This is not included in the total costs quoted. Availability can only be guaranteed by checking directly with the hotel.
Group Bookings:
The Queens Hotel does not accept single sex groups of 5 people or more.
Superior rooms overlooking the river are available and should be pre-booked directly with the hotel. Requests made via standard internet bookings are not guaranteed. Superior rooms overlooking the river are available at an additional cost per night, and this cost is not included in the quoted room rates.
This double room with a king-size bed is suitable for one or 2 people. Please note: the picture shown on the web page of double room is a river view corner room. Although standard and decor are the same in all our rooms, the size of the rooms may differ.
Every twin room consists of a double king-size bed and one standard single bed.
All family rooms have a double king-size bed and 2 pull-out single beds which are ideal for children. These rooms do not accommodate more than 2 adults.

The Royal Brasserie serves dinner daily between 18:00 and 21:00. We serve a selection of traditional and modern dishes, individually priced.
Although some of the rates are on a room only basis, our restaurant is open daily for breakfast from 07:30 until 09:30 Monday to Friday, and 10:30 at weekends; you are more than welcome to join us for breakfast.
There are restricted menus and table reservations during Christmas and New Year, please contact the hotel for details.
From the North:
from the a1 to the a59 to the City Centre, pass through City Walls, through the first set of traffic lights, at the second set of lights, turn right onto Skeldergate.
Or, from the a19 across the outer ring road (a1237) into York, passing the Theatre Royal. Turn right at the traffic lights, over the bridge to the next set of lights.
Turn left into George Hudson Street. Turn left at the next lights and first right to Skeldergate.
From the South:
M1 to A1(M), to A64 to A1036 slip road to City Centre. Pass through City Walls, through first set of traffic lights, at the second set of lights, turn right on to Skeldergate.
From the East:
A1079 to City Centre to Walmgate. Turn left and continue past the Barbican Centre.
Stay on the right and follow one-way system, keeping to the middle lane to the roundabout.
Continue to the next set of traffic lights passing Clifford's Tower on the right, follow the road over the bridge to the traffic lights and turn left in to Skeldergate.
